** This series of posts were written when the garden beds were planted in late Spring (November) 2013, but I never got around to uploading them. I’m posting them now so you can see what eventually went into them, and I will do a ‘1 year on’ update this Spring to show how they’ve grown.**
Bed 5
This is the second last of the ‘proper’, brick-edged planting beds. It edges the top lawn in the backyard. Like all the beds before it, it started out full of white river pebbles, weedmat and terribly compacted soil which the weeds wouldn’t touch anyway. Here’s a reminder of what we had to work with:
