‘The House With The Hedge’

That is how our neighbours identified our house when we first moved in and introduced ourselves- “oh yes, you mean the house with the hedge”. The huge prickly, overgrown privet hedge had its own identity and it kept the lovely period house all but invisible from the street.

The Agapanthus are well and truly out in Sydney at the moment. Just as the Jacarandas finished flowering, more striking purple (and white, blue, pink and ‘black’) blooms were ready to take their place.
